The Rapids Report

Dear STrEaM Families,
The lottery is now closed! Seat notifications will go out later this week. We are excited to report our highest number of applications in the lottery to date! Thank you to our student leaders and our awesome recruitment coordinators, Mrs. Gatlin and Mrs. Biondich. HUGE THANKS to all of YOU, our parents, families and supporters: Word of Mouth is still the #1 way new families hear about STrEaM. You sharing about our program continues to be a huge part of our growth and success. Thank you!

The Remote Area Medical Volunteer Corps will be hosting free dental, vision, and medical services on 4/15 at the O’Malley Sports Complex. Services are provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
Clinic doors typically open at 6 a.m. Due to time constraints, be prepared to choose between DENTAL or VISION services. Medical services are offered to every patient attending the clinic. All services are free and open to the public. No ID required.
Mid-Term Grading
Friday, April 14 is the mid-quarter deadline for practice assignments (PAs) in many classes. Students are given reminders and help during Advisory class to use StudentConnect (Q) and Canvas to make a list of missing items and work to redo. Then, they are given time in Advisory to finish something from the list. Please ask your student about their progress with completing any make-up work during Advisory, and please help them finish anything else as homework. Being caught-up at mid-quarter will set them up for success with projects in the second half of the quarter.
Welcome Mr. Bahner for the 23-24 School Year!
We’re excited to add Mr. Stephen Bahner to teach math at STrEaM next year. See the full announcement here: https://rapidsreport.blogspot.com/2023/04/welcome-stephen-bahner.html
