Rapids Report 4-24-23

 The Rapids Report

April 24th, 2023

Dear STrEaM Families,

It is hard to believe that it is already the last week of April! Spring has sprung, the sun is out, and we are getting outside as much as possible.

It is SPIRIT WEEK this week! If you see staff and students dressed differently, this is why!

On May 9th, ASD will vote on the proposal to change school start times. If start times change, STrEaM will adjust to accommodate a staggered drop off with elementary and align with after school activities for middle school. Our schedule would move up 30 minutes, going from 8:30 to 3:30 (8:30 to 12:30 Wednesdays).

Weekly Schedule

4/24  Monday: Full Day P. 1-7

  • Spirit Week: Tacky Tourist Day

4/25 Tuesday: A day, Advisory, P. 1-4

  • Boxing 3:00 pm Auditorium

  • Spirit Week: Character Day

4/26  Wednesday: Early Release 12:00 PM

23-24 School Year Planning

Parents of current 6th and 7th graders: it is very helpful for planning our schedule and filling seats to know your intent for the coming school year.

Please complete the survey indicating your intent. This is especially important if you are NOT planning to return to STrEaM. This is NOT for 8th graders- we know they will be moving on!

DROP OFF AND PICK UP TIMES:

Arrival/drop off time is 7:45 AM. The doors are not open and we do not provide supervision until that time.

Pick up time is 3:00 PM (and 12:00 on Wednesdays).

Please do not line up for pick up any earlier than 2:45 as the parking lot is used for PE and breaks. If you must arrive prior to 2:45 please park and wait.
