Dear STrEaM Families,
“Emergency” Project Packets went home to ALL students! Please ensure you have this manilla envelope. These packets contain grade-level projects designed specifically for snow days and emergency closures.
In case of an emergency school closure, students will open these packets and do the projects enclosed. These projects do not require technology. However, instructions will also be posted in Canvas, and teachers will host zoom sessions to offer support.
FULL day Wednesdays scheduled to make up for emergency closures are:

Recruitment
It’s the time of year where we begin recruiting students for the next school year. We will be hosting school tours on Tuesdays at 10 am throughout the month of February and our student ambassador leaders will be traveling to our feeder elementary schools to present to 5th graders. If you know someone who is interested in sending their kids to STrEaM next year, please pass on the school tour invite or have them contact us directly for more information.
Health Spotlight: Nurse Bethany
In January on select Thursdays our 7th graders will all be seen by our nursing staff for health assessments, per ASD Guidelines. Students should bring their prescription lens for their vision check.

Wednesday Breaks at STrEaM
Please be sure your child packs their snack of choice. Friends of STrEaM and our donors for the Pantry Program have been seeing a huge increase in the number of students requesting snacks during Wednesday morning breaks.
Lunch at STrEaM from our Pantry Program
Please be sure your child packs a cold lunch. This week we need CHIPS or GOLDFISH. We do not have a lunch program or lunchroom. Lunch is generally outdoors unless the weather is prohibitive. 45% of our students come from economically disadvantaged homes and we hope to help them with free lunches when necessary. We have been serving between 8 and 17 lunches per day this month. Donations of Bread, Peanut Butter, Cheese & Turkey lunch meat are always welcome. Call 742-9000 for more information.
