Dear STrEaM Families

As you may have heard, AK STAR testing has been paused by ASD due to technical issues experienced around the district. STrEaM has not experienced any issues to our knowledge, and we’ve completed half of the testing. This does not affect the Science tests (4th, 8th, 10th) so we will test the rest of 8th grade this Wednesday.

Please mark Friday, April 22nd on your calendars There is NO SCHOOL that day for STrEaM ONLY, due to the Wayland Baptist spring graduation. It is a professional development day for staff.

Outdoor Lunch

Now that the weather is getting warmer, we will be sending students outside for supervised lunch each day. Please remind your student to be prepared to eat outside. On days when the weather is not cooperative we will offer an indoor option for students.

Lottery

Welcome to all our new students who received seats for the 22-23 school year through the lottery! The fall lottery is open, and we are already receiving new applicants. Please contact us if you have any questions about the lottery, waitlist, enrollment or our program.

STrEaM Anchorage 501(c)3

Second Annual Spring Fundraiser

Fab Lab Fish Project

The Stream Anchorage 501(c)(3) will host the second annual online basket auction to support Anchorage STrEaM Academy. The online auction will open on May 2 and close May 13.

• Each advisory class is making a themed basket for the auction.

• Interested volunteers can donate auctionable items which might be incorporated into a larger package, OR choose a theme and build a basket to donate.

• Completed baskets need to be delivered to the front office by April 15. Each basket should include an inventory of the contents to the outside of the basket.
