Dear STrEaM Families,

This is the last week of Quarter 1! The quarter ends this Friday, 10/20 (no school Friday for Grading and Planning). Students will have the opportunity to redo or retake Mastery Assessments this week. Remember Mastery is 80% of a student’s grade at ASA.

There is No School Friday 10/20 and Friday 10/27.

Student-Led Conferences will be held 10/25 and 10/26 from 12:30 to 5:00 PM.  These are STUDENT-LED: your child will guide you through their portfolio with teachers available to assist and answer questions.

Safety is paramount!

Specials Class Selection

This week, our students will be choosing their Quarter 2 specials class. They will choose their top THREE choices and Ms. Bonertz works hard to ensure classes fill and students get one of their choices. Please review the Q2 Specials class options with your student.

STOPit is an anonymous reporting tool designed to deter and mitigate bullying, cyber abuse, and other inappropriate behaviors, consisting of an app and a back-end incident management system for school administrators.

Specifically, the program empowers students and families to:

  • Report at-risk or inappropriate behaviors anonymously

  • Submit photo or video evidence

  • Alert designated administrators to issues and risks early, before they escalate

Your child has been educated on the STOPit app so please discuss it with your student. We also encourage your family to explore the district page on STOPit, linked above.

The Academic Policy Committee (APC) meets the second Wednesday of every month at 5:30 PM.
