Book Swap & Bake Sale
Thursday, 12/9 from 2:30 - 3:30, the STrEaM Student Leadership Team will be hosting the first STrEaM Book Swap & Bake Sale. Students can bring in books that they would like to swap on Dec. 1. Students will receive tickets for each book that they bring in. Those tickets may be used to swap for new books or to “purchase” baked goods from the bake sale. Any books not swapped will be donated to the STrEaM library and any profits collected from this event will be put back into our school community. More details to follow.
This week is a short week, with no school on Thursday 11/25 and Friday 11/26 to celebrate Thanksgiving! December is already right around the corner. My favorite word in an Alaskan Native language is “Quyana.” Quyana is Yupik for “Thank You.” When you say it out loud, it is a beautiful word, conveying grace. I want to thank you all and wish you a great Thanksgiving holiday. Stay warm and stay safe.
Quyana!
