Dear STrEaM Families,

The first day of school is just around the corner (August 17th). School starts at 8 AM, and you may drop students off after 7:45. Students will line up outside by grade level until the doors open.

Next week our monthly APC (board) meeting is Wednesday, August 11th at 5:30 PM. Teachers return on Thursday, August 12th!


The first day of school is Tuesday, August 17th. August 17-20th is “Welcome Week,” filled with fun and engaging return to school orientation & activities.

Lunch at STrEaM

Students should bring a cold lunch on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. 

Lunch is at home, on your own on Wednesday after 12:00 early release dismissal (unless students are staying for clubs or study hall). 

Please limit hot lunch items, as microwave availability is limited. We ask that students not bring microwavable foods such as cup o’ noodles, popcorn, hot pockets. 

“Specials”

Students will fill out a google form during “Welcome Week” to select their “Special” for the first quarter. Options include:

  • Dance

  • Art

  • Mini-society

  • Robotics

  • Outdoor Adventure

  • Digital Microscopic Photography

  • Drama

After School Activities

We are in the process of scheduling after school clubs. We are seeking volunteers or local vendors for Wednesday clubs. 

School Supplies

STrEaM strives to require MINIMAL school supplies for students. 

  • One (1) 1.5" Three-ring binder

  • One (1) set of 5 dividers

  • One (1) plain two pocket folder (any color)

  • A few blue or black pens

  • A few sharpened #2 pencils

  • A reusable BPA-free water bottle (label with name)

  • Outdoor gear (WRITE NAME INSIDE)

    • jacket (Coat in winter)

    • sneakers and boots for walking outside

  • A backpack, (write student name inside)

COVID-19/Vaccination update

Latest ASD Policy:

Universal masking will be required for all individuals while inside any ASD school or building. Some exceptions will apply. Masking while outside is optional.

Keep ASD Symptom Free. We must all do our part to minimize viral spread. Please stay home and get tested if you are experiencing ANY symptoms.

X-C Running

Coaches Mozen and Perkins are very excited to start another season of Cross Country Running at STrEaM! Practice will begin the first week of school. Watch for a Google Survey to sign up for running, and make sure to complete physicals and all forms. Runners should begin preparing for the season by running at least a mile a day.
